FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to products out of armour alloys and to methods of their heat treatment. The heat treatment method of products out of the armour alloy includes the alloy products austenisation by the alloy products heating in the furnace from 1450°F to 1650°F for 15 minutes, at that the alloy includes wt %: C 0.40-0.53, Mn 0.15-1.00, Si 0.15-0.45, Cr 0.95-1.70, Ni 3.30-4.30, Mo 0.35-0.65, B 0.0002-0.0050, Ce 0.001-0.015, La 0.001-0.015, S 0.002 max, P 0.015 max, N 0.011 max, Fe and accidental admixtures - rest. Alloy products cooling from the austenisation temperature in still air with spacing to other alloy products, at that in the alloy the phase change takes place in temperature range 300°F-575°F. The alloy products tempering at temperature from 250°F to 500°F with holding at specified temperature from 450 minutes to 650 minutes.
EFFECT: products manufacturing out of armour alloy with high resistance to multiple ballistic penetration at low level of the cracks spreading or its absence, and with high level of the ballistic characteristics.
