FIELD: shipbuilding; water transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns navigation in the winter due to the destruction of ice and the creation of channels for transport ships in the ice cover. An ice attachment with a triangular bow with inclined steps is proposed, having a hull with aft stops for pusher tugs, with a coupling device for carrying out movement in a bundle, a narrow protruding stem of the triangular bow with contours in the form of steps along the entire width of the hull, and the inclined steps are directed aft, their vertical surfaces are parallel to the diametrical plane of the hull with a bend in the lower part towards the sides. The proposed ice attachment with the mechanism of ice destruction by shear along the crystals by inclined steps of triangular bow contours has improved manoeuvrability, high ice penetration with a lower power of pusher tugs. When such a bundle moves, a channel free from ice fragments is formed, along which transport vessels can go at an increased safe speed, lower engine power, and save fuel.
EFFECT: effective performance.
