SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of antiviral scanning of a file system. The method includes obtaining, for a file stored in a file system, intermediate scanning results before completion of scanning of said file; storing the intermediate scanning results in a database, wherein said database is located away from the file system; at a remote antivirus server and before transmitting the malware signature to a client device for scanning files in the file system, comparing the intermediate scanning results stored in the database with pre-filtered information relating to a set of malware signatures; transmitting, to the client device, only those malware signatures relating to files corresponding to pre-filtered information associated with the malware signature.

EFFECT: high rate of file scanning.
