FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: self-braking asynchronous electric motor with dual massive rotor contains a stator with cylindrical boring with exciting winding, the a ferromagnetic massive rotor installed on a shaft with a possibility of axial movement, bearing boards with bearings, a rotor shaft, a brake spring, a brake mechanism. The rotor is designed doubled in such a manner that in the air gap formed between its parts symmetrically located in the axial direction with reference to the stator magnetic conductor the shaft-mounted brake spring is installed. Both parts of the rotor are fabricated by the method of powder metallurgy and have constant magnetic properties along the shaft axis. On internal surfaces of bearing boards conic brake shoes with rigidly fixed brake slips are provisioned. Dual ferromagnetic parts of the massive rotor are rigidly fixed with the bases which are conjugate to the shaft by means of spline connection.

EFFECT: simplification of technology of manufacturing of a ferromagnetic massive rotor and improvement of operational reliability and efficiency of braking of the electrical machine.
