FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, namely to electric motors with automatic retainer. Self-braking asynchronous electric motor comprises a stator and a cylindrical double rotor coupled with shaft by means of spline connections, to allow axial displacement in the air gap. Between the parts of the double rotor a brake spring is mounted. End shields, on internal surfaces of which the conical brake shoes with rigidly fixed brake pads are placed. Bags of magnetic conductors of cylindrical double rotor are laminated, and made of electric steel plates. On external cylindrical surfaces of the parts of the double rotor slots are made with rods of windings with their ends at the ends of magnetic conductors are connected by the short-circuited rings, at that the rods of windings placed in the slots of magnetic conductors, are located mirror-like relative to its centre in axial direction, parallel to shaft rotation axis.
EFFECT: technical result is in simplification of technology of making self-braking electric motors and expanding the scope of their application.
