FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to high-speed radio links for transmitting observation data from spacecraft for remote earth probing. The invention comprises setting, before each communication session, the signal-code structure of a transmitted stream, which is optimum to specific parameters of receiving equipment and session conditions to provide maximum signal strength at the input of a ground-based receiver, permitted by international radio communication regulations, and maintaining said signal strength during the communication session regardless of range via stepped variation of the power level of the controlled amplifier based on signals from a range finder. Selective data transmission is provided using a data catalogue formed when recording data in the memory of the high-speed radio link, through which the remote earth probing system operator controls the reset process.
EFFECT: high speed of transmitting probing data by adapting on-board equipment of high-speed radio links to parameters of the current communication session through optimum use of the energy budget, faster operation of high-speed radio links owing to use of radio link memory to facilitate transmission of data to users in a sequence defined by the remote earth probing system operator.
