FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy. The titanium slab for hot rolling is manufactured in rectangular mould cup of the electron-arc melting furnace by melted metal pouring in the mould cup from top from short side wall of the mould cup. The titanium slab deformation through thickness is maximum 5 mm in longitudinal direction, and through width maximum 2.5, in longitudinal direction per 1000 mm of slab length. On corner parts of the titanium slab there are roundings with radius from 5 to 50 mm. Width to length ratio of the titanium slab is from 2 to 10, and length to width ratio is below 5.

EFFECT: slab feeding to hot roll mill is ensured just after the processing melting in the electron-arc furnace or straightening during cracks exclusion in slab corner parts.
