FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy, namely to titanium composite materials. Titanium composite material contains an inner layer containing technically pure titanium or titanium alloy, an outer layer formed on at least one rolled surface of the inner layer and having a chemical composition that differs from the chemical composition of the inner layer, and an intermediate layer formed between the inner layer and the outer layer and having a chemical composition that is different from the chemical composition of the inner layer. Outer layer has a thickness of 2 mcm or more, and the proportion of the outer layer relative to the total thickness is not more than 40 % per side. Thickness of the intermediate layer is 0.5 mcm or more. Titanium material for hot rolling contains a base metal containing technically pure titanium or titanium alloy, the material of the outer layer, which is associated with at least one rolled surface of the base metal, and a weld zone that connects the periphery of the base metal and the material of the outer layer. Material of the outer layer has a chemical composition that differs from the chemical composition of the base metal, and the weld zone blocks the interface between the base metal and the material of the outer layer from outside air.
EFFECT: titanium composite material and titanium hot rolling material are characterized by high values of corrosion resistance, resistance to oxidation, resistance to fatigue, resistance to hydrogen embrittlement and neutron shielding.
