SUBSTANCE: foaming agent for flotation of minerals including dimethyl (isopropenyl acetenyl) carbinol, tetramethyl butyn diol, diisopropenyl acetylene, differing by that it has the following structure, by weight %: dimethyl (isopropenyl acetenyl) carbinol - 94.1-98.1; tetramethyl butyn diol - 1.6-3.9; Diisopropenyl acetylene - 0.2-1.0; radical polymerization inhibitor of - 0.1-1.0. The inhibitors of radical polymerization are phenols or D neozones. The method of obtaining of foaming agent is characterized by that tetramethyl butyn diol is treated by water solution of acid at the temperature of boiling of reactionary mix in presence of high-boiling hydrocarbons with a boiling temperature not belows than 210°C. The formed steam representing a mix of organic component and water vapor is distilled out with keeping of constant volume of the reactionary mix that is achieved by return of water layer after its separation from organic one, and also by replenishment of ablation of high-boiling hydrocarbons by means of their adding into the reactor. The foaming agent from the organic layer is separated by distillation in vacuum, it is added by the radical polymerization inhibitor.
