FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for generating a magnetic field with a controlled direction in a predefined region in space and can be used particularly in wireless power transmission systems. The device consists of three coplanar inductors which form a planar structure, and a unit for controlling current values in the inductors, wherein the device is characterised by that the planar inductors have a geometry and are arranged such that vectors of the magnetic field generated by said inductors form a complete three-dimensional base in the given region in space, located near the structure at a distance not greater than the maximum geometric dimension thereof.
EFFECT: simple design by avoiding use of magnetic materials.
