FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compressor disc fabrication. Compressor disc fabrication comprises securing of mid ply to parent metal by placing the first metal powder in clearance between first insert and parent metal.Parent metal, first metal powder and first insert are subjected to hot isostatic pressing to make mid ply bonded with parent metal. Outer ply is secured to mid ply by placing the second metal powder between second insert and mid ply. Parent metal, mid ply, second metal powder and second insert are subjected to hot isostatic pressing. Now, outer ply is bonded with mid ply to remove second insert so that impeller results, its outer ply possessing an increased corrosion resistance.
EFFECT: lower production costs.
