FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: method and system of liquefied natural gas or liquefied hydrocarbon gas spill response comprise the treatment of surface of liquefied gas with combined air-and-water foam with low and medium expansion ratio based on synthetic hydrocarbon foamer with obtaining and the subsequent utilisation of gas-saturated foam. The gas-saturated foam is formed on the surface of liquefied gas as alternate layers of porous ice, frozen gas-saturated foam and liquid gas-saturated foam.

EFFECT: decrease of gas concentration above the surface of gas-saturated foam below the lower concentration limit of flame distribution.
