SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the technology for eliminating technological and transport accidents in order to prevent fires, explosions, reduce the intensity of combustion and extinguish fires, further - localise, in elimination of the consequences of emergency and technological spills of liquefied natural gas or liquefied hydrocarbon gas, and can be used in power engineering, transport, gas production, gas processing and chemical industry. The method for localising spills of liquefied natural gas or liquefied hydrocarbon gas includes applying a layer of air-and-water foam onto the surface of the spill of liquefied gas. A hybrid air-and-water foam produced as a result of turbulent mixing in the process of cocurrent movement of jets of low-expansion mechanical air foam and medium-expansion mechanical air foam is applied onto the surface of the spill of liquefied gas by means of a system containing means of generating low-expansion mechanical air foam and means of generating medium-expansion mechanical air foam, configured to produce and apply at least one jet of hybrid air-and-water foam produced as a result of turbulent mixing in the process of cocurrent movement of jets of low-expansion mechanical air foam and medium-expansion mechanical air foam onto the surface of the spill of liquefied gas.

EFFECT: improved technology of localizing spills of liquefied natural gas or liquefied hydrocarbon gas with hybrid foam.
