LUMINOUS PROBE Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC A61M25/00

Abstract RU 2553189 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, particularly to probing and endoscopic instrumentation, and can be used for continuous trans-illumination of tissues and walls of hollow organs. A luminous probe has a working portion completely made of an optically transparent material, a hollow elastic bulb syringe hermetically sealed to a connector at the end of the probe, a cavity of which is connected to a cavity of passages and a stud olive, whereas a light source is a two-component chemiluminescent solution filling a common closed cavity and containing the ingredients separated by two tap valves mounted nearby the bulb syringe.

EFFECT: using the probe extends the range of application, increases independence and safety by making its working portion completely optically transparent and having self-luminescent properties; the probe has the working portion long enough, not reciprocating and causing no local mechanical irritation and tissue injuries.
