FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: converter contains casing with longitudinal axis X and bottom, support ring with common axis with casing installed at distance from this casing, and two diametrically opposite support journals specifying axis Y perpendicular to axis X and ensuring the converter rotation relatively to axis Y, and suspension system. The suspension system connects the casing with the support ring and has groups of vertical suspension devices that are at equal distance from each other along the cylindrical side surface, which axis coincides with axis X, and are located between the support ring and bottom. Each of the vertical suspension devices contains multiple longitudinal flexible elements, each of them is located near the clearance with next in same horizontal plane.
EFFECT: invention use ensures centring of the converter casing during inclinations, reduces casing vibration.
