FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: cutting plate has two cutting parts with double rotation symmetry relatively to longitudinal axis of the cutting plate, and two holes. The cutting tool has casing, in each socket located at the periphery the cutting plate and securing element in form of a screw with cone head are installed, the screw is intended to secure the cutting plate. Each of the said sockets has a shoulder, first support wall and two second support walls to interact with the appropriate support surface of the cutting plate. On the socket shoulder a support wall is made to interact with area of side surface of the hole of the cutting plate near its work cutting part.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of use of the cutting plate and cutting tool due to increased number of main cutting edges.
