FIELD: physics, navigation.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to navigation systems. A method of driving vehicles from radio beacon to radio beacon includes simultaneously emitting two chirp signals with the same frequency, frequency modulation and frequency deviation, which are received by antennae of two receivers mounted at the longitudinal and transverse axes of the vehicle at a certain distance L from each other. The obtained signals are reemitted towards a radio beacon, multiplied with the emitted chirp signals and a difference signal at a defined frequency is determined, the appearance of which indicates that the vehicle is directed towards the radio beacon. Further, the obtained differential frequency signal is transmitted to the vehicle, where it is received, and a signal is transmitted to the actuating mechanism of the steering wheel, thereby forcing movement towards the radio beacon. A double-frequency range-finder comprises three generators, four mixers, four differential frequency filters, an analogue adder, a power amplifier and a transmitting antenna, connected to each other in a certain manner. A device for driving vehicles towards a radio beacon comprises two receivers, a detection receiver and a double-frequency range-finder, connected to each other in a certain manner. Each of the receivers has a transmitting-receiving antenna, a band-pass filter and a power amplifier. The detection receiver comprises a receiving antenna, three filters and is connected to the vehicle steering wheel control circuit.
EFFECT: guiding a vehicle towards a radio beacon.
