FIELD: aircraft engineering.
SUBSTANCE: RLS used in the method comprises four antennas (PPA), ten signal generators, twelve mixers and filters per each one, four power amplifiers and frequency meters per each one, five DAC, a coefficient calculator and two multiplication and subtraction circuits per each one. Meanwhile the direction and the value of a plane deviation from a course and a glide path, its irradiating by four PPA, installed at the beginning of the airfield runway, in the plane perpendicular to the glide path, on a circle, equidistantly along a circle from each other and from the glide path, with the reference distances L between the opposite PPA1 and PPA2 installed perpendicular to the glide path with the reference distances L between the opposite PPA3 and PPA4 installed in parallel to the runway which radiate four continuous signals with frequency modulation by unilateral sawtooth linear-decreasing law (NLFM1 signals) with close frequencies f1, f2, f3, f4 and identical by the modulation frequency Fm and dfm frequency deviation which after reflection from the plane are received by PPA and multiplied by the signals radiated by NLFM, and the signals with the frequencies Fpi = 2DiFmdfm/C+2Vif1/C, Fpj = 2DjFmdfm/C+2Vif2/C, Fpz = 2DzFmdfm/C+2Vif3/C, Fpx = 2DxFmdfm/C+2Vif4/C are separated, where - the light speed, Di, Dj, Dz and Dx - distances between PPA and a plane with the speed Vi determined before receiving these signals which are multiplied then by the signals formed in advance with the frequencies 2Vif1/C, 2Vif2/C, 2Vif3/C and 2Vif4/C and four signals with the frequencies F1pi = 2DiFmdfm/C, Fp1j = DjFmdfm/C, F1pz = 2DzFmdfm/C, F1px = DxFmdfm/C are separated, and also the coefficient Ki = Di/Dmin is calculated, where Dmin - minimum possible distance from PPA to the plane, then the product of two differences ±Ki(F1pi-Fp1j) and ±Ki(F1pz-F1px) is calculated, the value and the sign of which pre-determine the value and the sign of a plane deviation from a course and a glide path.
EFFECT: expansion of the range of plane landing devices.
