FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automation and communication and can be used on railway transport to control operating processes thereof. The system comprises subsystems for control communication, station administrative communication, two-way fleet communication, train radio communication, basic telephone communication, haul and inter-station communication, informing passengers and workers on railway tracks, an on-board ring IP network connected through routers with station IP networks of railway stations, flag stations and road centralised traffic control centre and integrated telecommunication equipment, which includes telecommunication servers, each connected to the station IP network of one of the serviced stations. The software of each of the servers is configured to provide service in standard mode to subscribers of a group of stations and/or flag stations arranged in series on a section of the rail road, as well as subscribers of a neighbouring telecommunication server in case of breakdown.
EFFECT: improved reliability of communication equipment and providing all types of communication based on an integrated hardware-software platform, based on use of packet switching technology using mutually backed up server equipment.
