SUBSTANCE: potato digger comprises a frame, support wheels, speed, basic and cascade rod elevators, digging device. The digging device is made in the form of flat oscillating spring-loaded ploughshares. The rigidity of the conical spring (10) is set by mounting the splint (13) into one of the holes (12) of the bracket (11). On the ploughshares the dividers (14) of the tuber-bearing layer are mounted, made in the form of a hyperbolic cone. The base of the cone is set over the speed rod elevator, with the possibility of longitudinal movement on the ploughshares. On the flat generatrix of the hyperbolic cone of the divider the longitudinal holes are made.

EFFECT: improvement of the separation quality of the tuber-bearing soil of the rod elevator.
