SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rendering of a visual representation of a user. A method of applying animation to a visual representation comprises: selecting a first animation from a plurality of saved animations based on a first image indicating a user currently located in physical capturing space; applying said first animation to the visual representation of the user on a display device; updating at least one animation from said plurality of saved animations based on characteristics of the user identified based on the first image; in response to determining from a second image of the physical capturing space that the user is not located in said physical capturing space, selecting a second animation from said plurality of saved animations based on the previous image; applying said second animation to the visual representation of the user on the display device.
EFFECT: facilitating visual representation of a user by embodying animations based on the history of inputs from the user.
