SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering. The method of associating animations comprises steps of: receiving image data representing a captured movement; selecting a prepared animation; changing the position in the prepared animation as a response to history data associated with a user; identifying at lest one parameter which denotes a transition point, wherein satisfaction of said at least one parameter initiates association of the animation of the captured movement and the prepared animation; associating the animation of the captured movement and the prepared animation through at least consecutive display of the captured movement and the prepared animation.
EFFECT: providing efficient recognition of gestures.
