FIELD: instrument making.

SUBSTANCE: under known method of axial gap setting in gas dynamic suspension of rotation axis of gyromotor rotor after preliminary assemblage of the gyromotor with supports installation on the axis of rotation of the rotor, support securing by nuts, determination of supports movement in each of two hemispheric support assemblies, the gyromotor disassemblage, material removal from the internal base surface of the supports in each of two hemispheric support assemblies, final assemblage of the gyromotor with supports installation on axis of rotation of the rotor, supports securing by nuts with torque M”рас”. At that after pre-assemblage of the gyromotor and supports installation with nuts on axis there are tightened with torque M”доп”>M>M”рас”, held in this state for at least 24 hours, torque is decreased to zero, then supports are re-secured with torque M”рас”, the distance between outside base planes of the supports and between outside base planes of the flanges are measured.
