FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment and can be used in production of precision instruments on gas-dynamic support. Method of diagnostics of condition of gas-dynamic support of rotor of float gyroscope includes determination of rotor run-out time at successive stages of gyroscope manufacturing and testing. At that, absolute and relative changes of the gyroscope rotor run-out time are determined in comparison with the coasting time at the previous stage, these changes are compared to the specified tolerances and the gyroscope is rejected when the permitted values are exceeded.
EFFECT: high reliability of diagnosing the current state of the gas-dynamic support of the gyroscope rotor.
