FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: method of processing of the gas bearing porous insert consists in that for the material of the insert a pre-processed to the necessary geometrical shape a sapwood part of the wood is used which has been boiled down in a concentrated solution of cooking salt, the ends of which after boiling out are coated with a sticky solution, and then the preform is placed into a drying chamber. The drying is performed in a step temperature mode. The offered method completely removes from sapwood the resinous substances due to boiling out of the preform in the concentrated salt solution. The solution removes the resinous substances, keeping a unidirectional arrangement of capillaries. Meanwhile there is no fracturing of the preform ends and middle part due to the use of adhesive solution. The used method of drying ensures a homogeneity and constant structure, as far as from the preform it is easier to evaporate water, than resins, thus a constant permeability of the gas bearing porous insert is ensured and the time required for its fabrication is minimised.
EFFECT: decrease of time required for fabrication of the porous insert.
