FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agricultural engineering, in particular to separators for separation of root vegetables and root tubers from comparable soil lumps, and can be installed on the potato harvester. The device contains the inclined separating conveyor 1 the tape 2 of which is mounted on the driving 3 driven 4 and tension shafts 5, feeding 9 and branch 10 conveyors. The separating conveyor 1 is installed with an inclination along the diagonal to the horizon and fitted with rollers 7 for pressing of its tape 2 along the edges to the driving 3 and driven 4 shafts. The internal surface of the top tape 2 of the separating conveyor 1 is supported by the guiding sheet 8. The surface of the guiding sheet 8 is made curvilinear, for example designed as a parabola, with increase of curvature towards the movement of the top tape 2 of the separating conveyor 1. Speed of the movement of the top tape 2 of the separating conveyor 1 is less than the rotation speed of its driving shaft 3.

EFFECT: invention allows to improve efficiency of separation of close by dimensional characteristics of soil lumps from potato tubers in the unidirectional flow by the complex of physico-mechanical parameters, among which the density and rolling are prevailing.
