FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: arrester brake (20) is incorporated with lifter including elevator cabin, drive, drive control device and cabin support. Note here that the latter can be displaced by the drive while said cabin can be displaced by said support. Arrester brake (20) performs mechanical braking relative to lifter guide rail (17) to make cabin stay vertically after arrester brake activation. Said brake comprises latching mechanism (21) to act from two opposite sides (S1, S2) upon guide rail (17) and pull device (24). The latter (24) displaces relative to crosswise element (29) to up the braking force of brake shoes (23.1, 23.2) at guide rail (17).
EFFECT: higher reliability.
