FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device for elevator cabin moving in shaft on guide rails 4 comprises roller 6 with friction surface 9 making braking member and arranged in compression body located on elevator cabin to come in contact with guide rail in actuating braking or catching device and enter wedge clearance between compression body and guide rail 4 to produce braking or catching effect. With braking or catching device inactive, roller 6 is retained by solenoid 16 at definite distance from guide rail 4 that retains roller guide as-clamped. Roller guide may move toward guide rail 4 and compression body 1 to interact with roller 6 so that said guide 16 displaces toward guide rail 4 to position distant from pole to make roller 6 come in contact with guide rail 4. Then, roller 6 moves towards wedge gap to penetrate there inside to actuate roller guide, at least temporarily, from distant to closer position.
EFFECT: higher reliability.
