FIELD: elevators.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to elevator engineering. Device for preventing emergency fall of passenger elevator cabin comprises actuating, control and correcting mechanisms, guide, top and bottom pulleys. Actuator includes an axle movably fixed on the bed, a brake disc, a pressure sleeve with a brake spring, an intermediate sleeve, a support sleeve with a pressure spring, safety drum with friction neck, with at least three turns of safety rope and drive splines. Control mechanism includes shaft with satellite splines, centrifugal regulator with clutch, slider, four weights, rocker. Satellite splines engage with drum drive splines. Slider is equipped with a pusher. Each of weights is movably connected to two levers, one of which is movably fixed on the coupling, the other one – on the slider. Upper end of the rocker arm is placed between the lower marks of the slider and the pusher, and the lower end is with a locking pin by means of a cable. Correcting mechanism includes a handle, pins and two flexible links connecting them in pairs. Pins are attached to side surfaces of handle and intermediate sleeve.

EFFECT: increasing safety during operation of the elevator cabin.
