SUBSTANCE: invention relates to transport engineering. The adjustable foot rest to be set under door opening in side wall of rail vehicle has body and foot rest pulled out horizontally of body. On the front portion of footrest platform, footrest system is formed. The footrest system has one additional footrest step located above or beneath the footrest platform.
EFFECT: possibility to overcome large differences in height between rail vehicle door opening and platform.
