FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: adjustable foot rest for public transport facility comprises step made with possibility of horizontal stretching and pulling by means of drive with two side jaws and transition surface. Transition surface is located between side cheeks. Step comprises two rollers located on side cheeks. One of side jaws in the area of rollers comprises curved section located between two rollers and containing strain-gauge element for detecting deformations. Adjustable foot rest comprises centering device including two centering element. One centering element is firmly placed on the frame, and the other is tightly placed on step. Centering elements interact with each other, when the step is pulled into the frame.
EFFECT: higher reliability of footboard.
