FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, more exactly to method of metals treatment using the magnetic fields, and can be used to treat the solid powder magnetic and non-magnetic material in alternating magnetic field to modify the structural-depending properties of these materials. Method of treatment of the powder metal oxide in the alternating magnetic field includes treatment of the powder oxide in weak rotating magnetic field with specified amplitude, frequency and time of action, at that during treatment the continuous change of orientation of particles of the powder metal oxide relative to the vector of the magnetic induction is performed by mixing of the powder oxide. Mixing can be performed mechanically, by gas flows as per "boiling bed" method, by rotating magnetic fields. Treatment is applied to the magnetic and non-magnetic metal oxide, at that treatment can be performed in alternating inhomogeneous magnetic field at frequency close to the frequency of the alternating magnetic field.

EFFECT: invention ensures the treatment efficiency and uniformity due to continuous change of particles orientation of the powder material relatively to the vector of magnetic induction.
