FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in chemical and ore mining industry. Reduction of iron, silicon and reduction of titanium dioxide to titanium metal is carried out by generating electromagnetic interactions of SiO2 particles, a silicon-containing gas, FeTiO3 particles and magnetic waves. The method includes pumping energy in crossed fields with parametric resonance in an RLC circuit with multi-mode modulation at resonance frequencies in the range of 105-1012 Hz or higher, with inductive interaction of SiO2 particles, the silicon-containing gas or FeTiO3 particles in travelling magnetic and electric waves with circular or elliptical polarisation in a closed volume of an electron-ion current loop or rotor-type particle vortex, in the range of 101-106 Hz of cyclic frequency, with magnetic-electric inertial confinement of rotating magnetic and electric stator-type waves.

EFFECT: invention enables to convert hard-to-decompose silicon- and titanium-containing material without using acids, while improving environmental friendliness and reducing power consumption.
