SUBSTANCE: invention relates to foundry production. The thin-walled mould is made of ferrite-class cast iron by moulding in sand-bentonite moulds. The cast iron contains, wt %: carbon 3.0-3.6, silicon 2.0-2.7, manganese 0.1-0.4, molybdenum 0.2-0.8, vanadium 0.07-0.2, nickel 0.3-1.0, copper 0.1-0.5, magnesium 0.015-0.04, aluminium 0.05-0.15, sulphur 0.00-0.025, phosphorus 0.00-0.10, iron - the balance.
EFFECT: providing high heat conductivity and ultimate strength of the mould.
