FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves femoropopliteal bypassing with the use of a free autovenous graft. A metal bougie 5 mm in diameter is inserted into a proximal portion of the graft and advanced retrogradely to damage valves successively. A proximal anastomosis is applied between the femoral artery and the proximal end of the graft. The graft travels further along the vascular nerve tract up to a lower one-third, and a distal anastomosis is formed between the distal end of the graft and an initial portion of the popliteal artery.
EFFECT: method enables increasing the graft capacity and blood perfusion of the ischemic limb by creating the vascular anastomosis of the same diameter.
