SUBSTANCE: invention is referred to hollow cylindrical insulators, which body contains reinforcing member intended for high-voltage electrical devices, for example, for surge gaps, interrupters or lead-in insulators. Insulator body comprises the first cylindrical end (2) and the second cylindrical end (3) and has a hollow insulating body (18). The first end (2) and/or the second end (3) are provided with a cylindrical flange (5, 9) to mount the insulator body to a peripheral device at the first flange end. At least one reinforcing member (13a-d) or (15) is placed at the second flange end (10) and may be attached to a peripheral device (6) by bolts.
EFFECT: facilitating repair and increasing mechanical strength.
