FIELD: heating.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a grate cooler and to its component, namely to a grate plate for transportation and cooling of loose material leaving a high-temperature furnace. A plate has cavities of a rectangular shape, the maximum size of which is perpendicular to material movement direction; cross-section of cavities is triangular. Bottom of cavities has an inclination (α) increasing in the direction of movement of cooled material and a projection ending with an ascending end with reverse inclination (β), with that, inclination (α) is 10 to 45°, preferably 20 to 30° relative to the horizontal, and reverse inclination (β) of the ascending end has an angle equal to angle (α) or smaller than angle (α) by the value of up to 6°.
EFFECT: invention provides uniform movement speed of material bed, which provides for effective cooling, and reduction of wear speed of grate bars.
