FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: grate has a horizontal base and a plate inclined thereto and having through passages for cooling air and refracting to form a pushing platform. In the inclined plate, the angle of inclination (α) which is relative to the horizontal in the range from 10° to 30°, there are cavities made with formation of alternating benches, at that the bottom of the cavities is concave and has a slope increasing in the movement direction of the cooling material, and in vertical-longitudinal section of the grate it has a surface contour in the form of a broken line, in which there is a section forming a slope of the bench in movement direction of material, and made with inclination (β) relative to the upper surface of the inclined plate of the grate from 10° to 45°, wherein the through passages for cooling air are made in the walls of the cavities, and the bottom wall of the cavities is made with a bend, which angle (γ) is from 90° to 170°.
EFFECT: grate strength and its operating life is increased without increasing metal capacity, accelerated cooling of the hot material.
