SUBSTANCE: method for protection from pulsed and synchronous repeater jamming, based on setting a basic detection threshold and an additional higher threshold, the additional threshold is set in each range interval; spatial signal packets are formed from signals exceeding the basic threshold; a signal packet is considered to have been formed from synchronous repeater jamming signals if one or more signals of the signal packet exceed the additional threshold; based on said signal packet, features are determined, from which similar signal packets are detected in the coverage area of the radar station. Said result is also achieved due to that the level of the additional threshold is set based on the allowable probability of receiving the reflected signal from a real target located in said range interval. The feature of the signal packet formed by synchronous repeater jamming is the strength of at least one signal in the signal packet considered interference. Furthermore, the feature of the signal packet formed by synchronous repeater jamming is the number of pulses in the signal packet considered interference. The feature of the signal packet formed by synchronous repeater jamming is also angular coordinates of the beginning and end of the signal packet, as well as the phase difference between signals at spaced reception points in the packet considered interference.

EFFECT: generating features of synchronous repeater jamming and recognition thereof at all ranges.
