FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement of ionising radiations. A method for improvement of accurate measurements of a dose rate of gamma radiation, which are made in a wide range of ambient temperatures by means of a dose rate meter consisting of a control panel and a detector unit, consists in measurement of an ionising radiation parameter by means of a radiation-monitoring instrument and correction of a measurement result considering a value of a systematic component of a measurement error, which is implemented during the current period of time, which is determined by temperature dependence of instrument sensitivity, with that, in the measurement panel there is a temperature sensor arranged, and after its signal is converted, it is used for correction of the measurement result of the dose rate, with that, correction factors are set by pre-testing of the instrument at different temperatures, and their values are recorded directly to long-term non-volatile memory of a data processing module of the instrument; when correction is being performed, a factor is chosen, which corresponds to the temperature value that is close as much as possible to that measured by the sensor.
EFFECT: higher measurement accuracy of dose rate.
