FIELD: measuring.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of detecting radiation. Apparatus for measuring the spatial power of the rate of the absorbed dose of ionising gamma radiation comprises a measuring unit and one or more calorimetric sensors containing heat-insulated elements made of a material with a high coefficient of gamma radiation attenuation, wherein the heat-insulated elements constitute a sphere made of a material with a high coefficient of gamma radiation attenuation, surrounded by a layer of a heat-insulating and gamma quantum-transparent material, are placed on optical fibre, are in thermal contact with the optical fibre, and the measuring unit allows measuring the temperature distribution along the optical fibre with high spatial resolution.
EFFECT: increase in the spatial resolution when measuring the spatial distribution of the rate of the absorbed dose of ionising gamma radiation on long-length objects.
