FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering, particularly to security alarm methods and methods of monitoring movement of objects. The method includes transmitting time-variable frequency signals at opposite ends of a radiating leaky wave line; detecting resultant radio signals at a receiving leaky wave line and transmitting said signals through band-pass filters, while associating each selected frequency band with a defined portion of the leaky wave line.
EFFECT: locating objects using parallel leaky wave lines installed on a secure boundary, and reducing the effect of non-uniformities when forming a sensitive zone along the earth's surface, different types of enclosures or objects with different radio conductivity and radio transparency, which results in more accurate indication of the point of breach of a secure boundary and low probability of false alarm with high detection probability of sensors using the disclosed method.
