FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of removal of mercaptan from hydrocarbon flowing media. Invention deals with method of reducing quantity of mercaptans in hydrocarbon flowing medium including contact of flowing medium with effective amount of composition, which includes two types of alpha-aminoethers, sufficient for conversion of mercaptan into non-volatile compounds, and facilitation of removal of volatile compounds from hydrocarbon flowing medium, with reduction in such way of amount of mercaptans, released in vapour phase, with said composition containing 10-25% of monoether, 50-80% of bisether with one carbon atom between ether oxygen atoms, as well as 10-25% of diamine.
EFFECT: reduction of mercaptan amount with formation of non-volatile sulphur-containing compound.
