FIELD: nuclear physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to travelling wave nuclear reactors. Proposed method comprises determination of neutron fission travelling wave front shape and displacement of several selected fuel elements in reactor core depending on required front shape. This process is implemented with the help of electric circuitry intended for definition of combustion front required shaped and for determination of fuel cells in nuclear reactor. System operation is supported by appropriate software.
EFFECT: increased completeness of fuel combustion, longer reactor life.
