SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the gate drive (14) to drive the gate (10), with motor block (50) and driven device (100) to transfer the moving forces from the motor block (50) to the drive element of gates (10), at that the motor block (50) is made as geared motor (102), that has motor (60) and self-sustaining gear (61) of the motor. To make economic, but nevertheless reliable gate drive (14) the device (120) for temperature monitoring of the motor gear is suggested, it monitors temperature of the motor gear (61). Besides, the control method for gate drive (14) is suggested.
EFFECT: creation of economic and reliable gate drive.
