FIELD: heavy engineering industry; production of the drives of the mechanical presses.

SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the field of heavy engineering industry, to forging, in particular, to production of the drive of the mechanical press and may be used at designing of the drive of the presses with the design drawing providing for usage of the collapsible connecting rod. The drive contains the main and additional electrical engines, the reduction gear of the main shaft and the reduction gear of the additional shaft. The reduction gear of the additional shaft is made in the form of the self-stopping reduction gear with the coaxial input and output shafts. The input shaft of the self-stopping reduction gear is connected to the rotor of the additional electrical engine, which stator is mounted on the additional base. The technical result of the invention is simplification the mechanical press design.

EFFECT: the invention ensures simplification the mechanical press design.
