FIELD: power industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention proposes an activation and deactivation method of three-phase active-inductive industrial loads by means of hybrid starters. After activation of a three-phase active-inductive load, thyristor keys are shunted with contacts of a starter or a contactor with further pickup from the thyristor keys of control signals, and prior to deactivation of the three-phase active-inductive load a resistor is connected in series to the circuit of each contact of the starter or the contactor, and at the same time, all the thyristor keys are activated, thus shunting contacts together with resistors, and then, contacts of the starter or the contactor are opened with further pickup of control signals from the thyristor keys with natural switching. With such a method, transient processes in a hybrid starter have no effect on mains currents and load currents (consumers), and completion of the deactivation process is performed without any losses due to natural properties of thyristors in RL-load circuit.

EFFECT: elimination of additional losses in thyristor keys; increase of service life both of thyristor and mechanical keys; provision of a possibility of using more simple mechanical keys.
