FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, in particular to power supply systems, and can be used in transformer substations to switch on power transformer under load. Semiconductor converter used is a three-phase bridge diode rectifier, the direct current circuit of which includes a reactor, and the three-phase contactor is configured as a three-phase short circuiter, note here that AC terminals of three-phase bridge diode rectifier and clamps of mechanical contacts of three-phase short circuiter are combined and connected to star of primary winding of power transformer. Application of proposed device allows to reduce inrush current by approximately 2 times. This in turn, in proportion to current square, reduces by 4 times electrodynamic forces acting on windings of power transformer, and start-up losses in power transmission line. Proposed device is used in industrial power supply networks. Greatest effect can be expected for open-type transformer substations. This electronic electrical device is the most simple and reliable due to the fact that it does not have a microelectronic control system. It can replace known electronic-electrical devices for switching on of power transformers.
EFFECT: technical result consists in simplification of device design, its operation and repair, improvement of reliability of starting device and power supply system as a whole.
