FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: small gastric cavity 30 ml is formed. At 325 cm from an ileocecal angle, a jejunum is transected. It is closed with a jejunoileoanastomosis at 75 cm from the ileocecal angle. A proximal segment of the jejunum is anastomosed with the small gastric cavity. A side-to-side anastomosis is created to connect the jejunum to an efferent loop at 40 cm from a suture line of the gastroenteroanastomosis.
EFFECT: combined reduction of the gastric volume and intensified malabsorption for weight loss in the patients suffering morbid obesity, balanced manifestations of early dumping syndrome, improved surgical outcome of the by-pass procedure and clinical course of metabolic syndrome by forming an anti-peristaltic insert of the jejunum after the gastroenteroanastomosis, delayed food travel into an intestinal segment for food pulp splitting and absorption.
