METHOD FOR SURGICAL TREATMENT OF PROGRESSIVE NUTRITIONAL INSUFFICIENCY AFTER ROUX-EN-Y GASTRIC BYPASS Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61B17/11

Abstract RU 2801421 C1

FIELD: medicine; surgery.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in treatment of progressive nutritional deficiency in patients after Roux-en-Y gastric bypass. Method for surgical treatment of progressive nutritional insufficiency after Roux-en-Y gastric bypass includes transposition of the outlet loop of the gastroenteroanastomosis into the stomach stump, while the outlet loop is crossed 20 cm distal to the gastroenteroanastomosis, then the stomach is mobilized and resected, forming a tube 12 cm long and 4 cm wide from it with nutrition on the right gastroepiploic vessels, then the distal end of the outlet loop is connected to end-to-end gastric stump, separate the inter-intestinal anastomosis and restore the continuity of the small intestine, after which an end-to-end anastomosis is formed between the former afferent and efferent colon. The invention is aimed at restoring the natural passage of food.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to reliably prevent the reflux of gastric and intestinal contents into the oesophagus and to ensure portioned evacuation of food into the underlying sections of the gastrointestinal tract.
